Peter Nye of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and his team track our country's national bird-the bald eagle. Their team studies all aspects of eagle living, from migration to nesting, food chains, and reproduction. Right now, they are researching how chemicals in the environment affect the birds. Bald eagle conservation is a modern-day success story, as eagles have recently been removed from the endangered species list.
