  • Bai He (pronounced like "By Huh") is the Chinese name for "Siberian Crane". It means White Crane.
  • Neya was hatched in captivity in 2005 at a crane breeding center in western Russia. She was parent-raised (meaning that she was raised by adult Siberian Cranes, rather than people) and released in the wild in Iran this December.
