NEW Golden Eagles Tracked!

February 23, 2003 - For the first time, Signals of Spring is tracking Golden Eagles! Participating teachers, login on the home page and get your Golden Eagle "Wall Map" master to make the transparency.

With both HawkWatch International and the NY Department of Environmental Conservation, the birds' migration pathways have not been well documented. It will be exciting to see where they move. Wildlife Biologist Mark Vekasy suggests, "The movement of the Western Golden Eagles may have more of an East-West movement, but we will have to see, as we could be surprised where they move."
